Climate Hysteria and Climate Reality: a clash of cultures

WEBClimate_hysteria_and_Climate_reality__a_clash_of_cultures.pdf

Synopsis and invited feedback

Peer review is important and acquiring competent reviewers is becoming a major problem for the journals today so I will be very happy to include constructive comment (positive or negative) with acknowledgement. If I am not competent to judge your commentary I will try and find somebody who is.

If you would like to provide feedback just e-mail me here.

Synopsis Invited Feedback Importance (/10, author rated :-) )
A feature of the 21st century is the undermining of the language of science by the language of social media. Here I investigate how inappropriate hyperbole hinders the ability to reason about what is happening to the climate. I will contrast these two languages not by opinion but by placing the hyperbole next to one of the very few datasets available, the Vostok ice cores from Antartica, to see how appropriate the hyperbole is. The conclusion is that the hyperbole has little to do with the data, being more appropriate to gathering attention and ultimately in the case of all media, generating subscription and advertising revenue.None yet8
