Benchmarking

Over the years, I have had to test various machines out for both accuracy and performance from the most humble to at one time the most powerful computer in the world. I have always been careful about maintaining portability against international standards, so the benchmarks are equally useful today although they run a bit faster of course.

A more recent entry is ESP, the work on testing the arithmetic of embedded control systems, a development of the legendary paranoia.

Each of these items includes the relevant software so this topic has been split out of its parent, Computing.
