This is an invited talk given at CERN in December 2011. At one of the great scientific institutions on the planet, its nice to remember that software has become intrinsically part of the scientific method by virtue of the amount we need in typical scientific computation. Unfortunately, CS does not yet properly aspire to being described as scientific. This charts a possible path with lots and lots of examples. | None yet | 9 |
