A discussion of the dissonance between ambition and capability of you know who after a bad week for Visual Studio followed by some notes on the dangers of relying on technology with silly names. I got lots of interesting feedback from the devotees of some of these technologies telling me how great they are. What I didn't get is any evidence. Shame - I'm sure that they do things which appeal to common-sense, but with respect, that isn't enough if we are ever to improve the practice of programming and systems design systematically. | None yet | 8 |
